VirtualCourthouse Management Team The
Board of Directors of VirtualCourthouse, LLC currently consists of
M. Kenneth Bien, Arthur M. Monty Ahalt, William Korab and Richard
Daniels, Esq. These individuals bring over one hundred (100) years
of experience from the business community, legal community and the
Justice Community. Many of the current technological and business
process changes occurring in the legal and justice communities can
be traced to the many innovations initiated by the management team.
Brief histories and profiles of these individuals are listed below.
Mr.
Bien is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and holds both an undergraduate
degree in Business and a MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri.
He has spent over twenty-seven years with Accenture (formerly Andersen
Consulting) planning, designing, implementing and operating information
systems for large Fortune 500 companies and governmental agencies.
Mr. Bien was a partner for sixteen years while at Accenture. He has
held many managerial and leadership positions with Accenture including:
Judge
Ahalt retired as a Circuit Court judge in Prince George's County,
Maryland, in 1999 after seventeen years on the bench. Upon his retirement,
Judge Ahalt accepted a position on the Board of Directors of JusticeLink.
He served Chief Industry Advisor for LexisNexis CourtLink (successor
to JusticeLink) until January 2004. During his judicial career as
Chairman of the Court's Technology Committee, Judge Ahalt was the
Court's Chief of Information Technology. He was responsible for organizing
the Court's National electronic filing pilot in 1996. This pilot represented
the first comprehensive effort nationally to file pleadings electronically
and to organize the Court's information electronically so that it
is available to the public through electronic communications. Judge
Ahalt is an internationally recognized advocate, lecturer, and presenter
of technology programs, having made presentations to the:
Mr. Korab joined the Board of Directors in September 2001. Before joining VirtualCourthouse, Mr. Korab served General Foods (now Kraft Foods) for twenty-four years in various management positions. He concluded his service with Kraft Foods in 1990 as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales. In 1990, Mr. Korab became President of Pet, Inc., where he focused on the spin off of Pet, Inc. from Whitman Corp. as an independent corporation and the establishment of a viable track record. Upon leaving Pet, Inc. he became CEO of Ellenco, Inc., a family owned engineered systems company focused primarily on commercial, industrial, and institutional fire alarm systems. Ellenco, Inc. was sold to Siemens, A.G. in October 2000. |
